The year will conclude in Rome with an international gathering of priests with the Holy Father on June 19, 2010. With the announcement of this Year for Priests, the Pope has declared St. John Vianney the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Curé d’Ars. Rosary for The Year for PriestsThe USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) has produced a small 16 page booklet entitled, “THE ROSARY FOR THE YEAR FOR PRIESTS.” This booklet available for download on our website (PDF). The booklet goes over: How to Pray the Rosary, the Prayers of the Rosary and The Mysteries of the Rosary. The booklet also has some special prayers and citation for the “Year for Priests.” “It is first of all necessary to let the Blessed Virgin take one by the hand to contemplate the Face of Christ: a joyful, luminous, sorrowful and glorious Face.” -- Pope Benedict XVI
