What Is a Core Member Discernment Retreat? We call our amazing team of volunteers "Core Members" because they are the CORE of what we do in sharing our faith with young people and their families. The word discernment means to obtain "spiritual guidance and understanding" which is just a fancy church way of trying to understand if God is inviting us to something. We believe He may be inviting you to the Core Team and so we have invited you to this night!
Why You? St. Bruno Youth & Family Ministry (SBYFM) serves over 500 young people and their families in our community. We can't fulfill our mission alone. Our leadership team, Jason, Deanna, and Tania, have been praying over the last several weeks about who God may be calling to begin serving or continue serving with us and the Lord kept bringing YOU to us in prayer. There are many different opportunities and ways to serve and we can share more about those on the 23rd. By joining us that evening, you aren’t committing to anything. It will just give you a better sense of all the areas in which you can serve the young people and their families here and where God may be leading you. When?
