Who is First Holy Communion Prep designed for?
FHC Prep is a two-year process for children in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade who are preparing for First Holy Communion. Year 1 is for children in 1st or 2nd grade and Year 2 is for children in 2nd or 3rd grade. If this is your child's first year of preparation, they should be registered in Year 1 accordingly.
What if my child is older and needs to receive their First Holy Communion?
If you have an incoming 3rd grader who is beginning their FHC Preparation or a 4th or 5th grader who is beginning/continuing their FHC preparation, please click here to visit the Club 345 page for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. When does First Holy Communion Prep meet?
Registration is closed. Below is a glance at an overview of First Holy Communion Preparation for 2025-26. This will be updated in June 2026 when registration begins for the 2026-27 year.
How do I register for First Holy Communion Prep?
To begin the registration process, you must attend an in-person Discover & Register Meeting. On the day of the meeting, you will need to bring a copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate and a recent digital photo of your child on the device you plan to register with. During the meeting, we will provide an overview of the program, answer any questions you may have, and guide you through the next steps. At the end of the meeting, registration for the program will be available to you, and an online payment method will be required to complete the process. What is the registration fee for First Holy Communion Prep?
The registration fee for FHC Prep is $250. This includes the cost of all materials, supplies, and needs of this ministry for the entire year.
Is there a discount for multiple children?
We keep the cost of our ministries as low as possible but we want to do everything possible to provide the same opportunity for Catholic families with multiple children. If you have more than one child in our ministries, you can enter the coupon code SBYFM25! during registration for each of your children. This will provide a $25 discount for each of your children. If you selected the two payment option, the discount will be deducted from the final payment on September 30, 2025.
